CHALLENGE
Micropack is a leading wholesale distributor of dry and refrigerated foods, beverages, household items, and cleaning products, with over 50 years of experience in the Argentine market and three wholesale supermarkets in the city of Rosario.

The company managed invoicing and billing with SAP Business Technology Platform, while using Quadminds to optimize logistics and delivery routes. However, both systems operated in isolation:
​
No communication between SAP and Quadminds, preventing automatic synchronization of invoicing and delivery orders.
​
Manual processes were required to load orders into Quadminds and later reconcile deliveries in SAP.
​
Complex delivery logistics, as the truck delivery sequence needed to be inverted so that loading matched the actual delivery order (last in, first out).
​
Fleet management limitations, since Micropack operated 20 trucks while the Quadminds “Flash” model supported only 10.
SOLUTION
DAAS designed and implemented a custom middleware platform to seamlessly integrate SAP and Quadminds. The solution acted as a connector, orchestrating data and processes between both systems:

API Integration: middleware connected SAP HANA and Quadminds APIs, enabling real-time synchronization.
​
Automated Order Flow: customer orders were automatically transferred from SAP to Quadminds for route optimization, eliminating manual entry.
​
Return Integration: delivery results and optimized routes from Quadminds were automatically synced back into SAP for invoicing and reporting.
​
Route Logic: middleware inverted the delivery sequence of each truck to align digital routing with Micropack’s physical loading process.
​
Monitoring & Control: all integration events were logged, with observability, error handling, and resilience built in.
